Agron Shehaj has requested a central headquarters for his party, Mundësia, due to the May 11 elections.
In a letter addressed to the CEC, signed by Deputy Chairman Erald Kapri, the issuance of an official certificate is requested that reflects the percentage of votes at a national level, the number of mandates won in the Assembly, as well as any other official data on the party's result in the parliamentary elections.
This request, according to the party, is based on the law "On Political Parties" and the relevant decision of the Council of Ministers, which regulates the procedures for providing parliamentary parties with headquarters.
"In accordance with Article 22 and 22/1 of Law No. 8580, dated 17.02.2000 "On Political Parties", as amended, as well as in implementation of the Decision of the Council of Ministers on the determination of detailed rules for the central and local offices of political parties, the Opportunity Party requests from the Central Election Commission the issuance of an official certificate reflecting: the percentage of votes received nationally by the Opportunity Party, the number of mandates won in the Assembly of Albania, and any official data on the electoral result of the political entity "Opportunity Party" in the parliamentary elections of May 11, 2025.
"This certification is required for the purpose of the legal procedure for equipping parliamentary parties with headquarters and local offices, pursuant to Article 22 of Law No. 8580/2000 and the decision of the Council of Ministers mentioned above," the request states.
On May 11, the Mundësia party received 49,006 votes nationwide and secured two MPs, Shehaj himself and Erald Kapri.
