Former candidate of the Right for Development in the Vlora district, Edvin Kulluri, said that Alimehemeti, Tabaku and Salianji have the legitimacy to open a debate on the renewal of the DP, not at the level of vice-chairs, but for the party chairman.
Kulluri said that the aforementioned names may not run for mayor themselves, but find a unifying figure. According to him, the DP needs a strong shake-up.
"I have not shown any sympathy for Salianji, but he and Alimehemeti have the legitimacy to open a debate on the renewal of the DP, not for the vice-chairmen but for the chairman of the DP, and they also have a moral obligation, for those who voted for Alimehemeti and for Salianji's sacrifice, because the doctor was on the 8th floor, he spent 8 months in prison. He must have a platform, find a way to unite the opposition.
They may not run themselves, neither he nor Alimehmeti, they may find another candidate to put Berisha in front of. Tabaku is also a unifying figure. The current DP is massacred. The DP needs a strong shake-up, which none of those who are part of what the DP leadership represents from 2017 to today give it. If Berisha decides to leave today and appoint one of his disciples, it will get even worse, because they also lack Berisha's charisma. A mechanism must be put in motion so that the opposition can be an alternative.
These have more legitimacy than the others, Alimehemeti and Tabaku and Salianji, because of the sacrifice. I hope that Salianji, despite my lack of sympathy, has the opportunity to lend a hand to get out of the slush there. They have a moral obligation to try to break through this concrete wall that prevents the DP from coming to power, which is Berisha, not as an individual, but as a negative spirit. If Salianji gets out of prison to become vice president, all the sacrifice becomes zero. Even if Alimehemeti or Jorida do the same, their shares will fall," said Kulluri.
