Clashes within the Socialist Party only favor Edi Rama

Rama incites division within the SP and keeps intact only the criminal lobbies that control the government

The majority has entered a phase of internal strife that is exposing the rival lobbies of the Socialist Party. Public debates and conflicts on social networks show a lack of orientation, growing fear and accumulation of dissatisfaction. Edi Rama has encouraged these divisions to weaken traditional political groups and strengthen criminal groups that remain intact in the power structure.

The majority has entered a general chaos where fear and lack of orientation have fueled the explosion of accumulated anger. Television panel debates, although infrequent, show strong clashes between figures representing the two main clans of the Socialist Party.

In a television show, Oltion Rrumbullaku and Arben Meçaj represented opposing positions regarding the investigation against Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku. Rrumbullaku, who has been a member of the Tirana City Council and deputy minister, is known to be close to Erion Veliaj and used the opportunity to attack Balluku. In the same debate, Meçaj opposed him, calling the accusation disconnected from the reality of the criminal file.

This clash is not an isolated episode, but a phenomenon that is unfolding within the Socialist Party. The harsh reactions during the virtual conflict between Erion Braçe and Piro Lutaj, as well as Petro Koçi's enthusiastic stance after the launch of the investigation into the government's number 2, show that old tensions are erupting openly.

The social networks of socialist militancy reveal this crisis even more clearly. Their reactions show resentment, frustration and lack of trust in the leadership structure. This situation comes after a long stay in power and after the lack of meritocracy. It also comes as a result of a process driven from above.

Edi Rama has always followed a control model that aims to destroy the natural currents within the party. He has weakened every grouping that has arisen spontaneously, such as the lobby of Saimir Tahiri, Gramoz Ruçi, Erion Veliaj or Belinda Balluku. He has applied the method of division to strengthen his personal power.

The only currents that have not suffered a blow are the criminal lobbies. They operate without hindrance in the majority and maintain their influence in the parliamentary group, disguised as a new political generation.

The main culprit of the socialists' frustration is Edi Rama. Although the Socialist Party has been in power for 12 years, he has distributed government positions to groups that are not related to the party's structures. He first gave power to Ilir Meta, then to people who had left him. Then he gave power to figures who had left Lulzim Basha and finally to those who had left Sali Berisha. During all this time, he has kept intact the criminal lobby that has been constantly strengthened.

While the Socialists are fighting for small spaces and risk becoming victims of SPAK, the real circulation of big money in the country is controlled by only one person. This person is Edi Rama. Without addressing this problem, the Socialists risk the final collapse of their party./ Pamphlet
