Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted again to the clash he had a week ago at the meeting of the Socialist parliamentary group with former Foreign Minister Elisa Spiropali.
During the Socialist Assembly meeting in Baldushk, Rama said that in a 7-hour meeting last Saturday where citizens' affairs and concerns were discussed, the media only covered his debate with MPs.
"We stayed in that meeting from 11 am to 6 pm, we actually had a 7-hour meeting. In those 7-hour meeting and from all those discussions we had, the media, I'm not talking about the portals, the mirrors and the small pots, but I'm talking about the national media, the main news was what I said to one, what I said to another...where is the people and the people and where is the media and the news. However, this example I brought does not have any problem, but the problem is when all sorts of half-truths are spread, which are also the biggest lies.
"Xhemali (Qefalia) was telling me that over 100 or so applications have been submitted for the mountain package. This is in everyone's interest, because for an agrotourism or guesthouse, people from this area will be employed, it is related to production in this area. Therefore, we should discuss these with each other," said Rama.
Inside the closed-door meeting of the SP parliamentary group on March 28, a clash occurred between the Minister of State for Relations with Parliament, Eriona Ismaili, and MP Elisa Spiropali.
When Ismaili took the floor to talk about the communication strategy, it is learned that there was a reaction from Spiropali. It is not known exactly what facial expression the MP made, which then prompted an intervention from Ismaili.
"Is there anything to laugh at here?" Ismaili said, which was later supported by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who addressed Spiropali, telling him that he could not intervene while the minister was speaking.
Then, the situation escalated, which led Rama to harsher his tone towards Spiropali, telling him: "Don't make me come there myself to get you out."
