Today, several deputies at the meeting of the DP Parliamentary Group came out against Sali Berisha and demanded to participate in the meeting of the commission on territorial reform.
For lawyer Spartak Ngjela, this is the result of an internal conflict in the DP and as pressure on Berisha not to abandon Parliament, describing the boycott as unjustifiable and to the detriment of the opposition.
Ngjela stated that leaving the Assembly contradicts the will of the citizens.
"There was an internal conflict. How is it possible to leave Parliament when the people elected you? The people's deputy cannot leave Parliament. When they leave, they insult Albanians. Saliu is a man who does not understand who he is playing for, but bravo to those who forced him," said Ngjela in Studio Live.
He sharply criticized the boycott strategy, emphasizing that it does not harm the government, but the opposition.
"They are not doing anything to Albania, but they are discrediting the right. The right has been discredited. Why does it enter the elections, expel MPs and then not stay in Parliament?", he said.
According to Ngjela, Berisha's behavior is politically meaningless and has no justification.
"The question is: why does he enter the elections, expel the deputies and then not stay in parliament? This is a request from the enemies of Albania. Why, do you think Saliu is stupid? Either he is an old anti-Albanian, or the anti-Albanian forces are asking him to. There is no other way," he said.
Ngjela also spoke about the role of SPAK, emphasizing that the fight against corruption is being led by internationals.
"SPAK is not run by us. The internationals have provided assistance, both expertise and payment, to save us from corruption. If they don't save us like this, we will remain like this for the rest of our lives," he declared, adding that investigations are going to high levels of politics.
Ngjela also commented on the judges' request for a salary increase, a request often debated by Prime Minister Edi Rama. According to Ngjela, a judge's salary directly affects the way justice is delivered.
"Money makes war, but the government has the money through parliament. It would be good if their salaries were increased. The payment also calms them down in delivering justice. The good economic situation does not bother them. An untroubled judge delivers justice, a worried judge who does not have money to send his children to school makes mistakes in delivering justice. One of the main reasons why judges are paid a lot all over the world is to deliver justice. There should be no internal conflict," concluded Ngjela.
