Prime Minister Edi Rama, after the successive attacks made against SPAK in recent days, seems to have made a 180-degree turn, to return to what he calls "neutrality towards the actions of justice."
Taking cue from the prime minister's rhetoric in recent days, some SP MPs, who previously "shut up" their mouths about SPAK's actions, began to speak out against the arrest of Erion Veliaj.
This seems to have irritated Rama, who has sent a message with strong doses of criticism to the WhatsApp group of the Tirana MP team, demanding an unequivocal stance from the SP MPs regarding the independence of the judiciary, mainly SPAK.
The reason for this message from Rama, provided by the sources of "Top Channel" journalist Muhamed Veliu, is that an interview was conducted with MP Etjen Xhafaj in a television studio, regarding the arrest of Mayor Erion Veliaj.
" I am speechless! It is unimaginable how a Socialist Party MP can speak like in a cafe, like a fan, acting like a banal lawyer who, moreover, does not help anyone at all, while it has nothing to do with our principled position on the detention without trial of the mayor of the capital! Is Erioni innocent or guilty, or anyone else, no one has charged the Socialist Party, me or Etien of course, to say this in the parliament ," the message says.
Those socialist MPs, says Edi Rama, who want to deal with the public defender, let them leave their mandate and then let them say whatever they want in every corner of the media swamp.
He asks the deputies to deal with the tasks at all times for a triumphant victory on May 11. Edi Rama conveyed this request in an ultimatum.
" I do not want to hear any more statements that violate the independence of SPAK, regarding the case or specific cases, the content of the accusations or the claims of the accused! STOP! Our support for SPAK remains unwavering and our possible principled criticisms are neither timely nor untimely, nor anyone's business from the deputies or other representatives of the SP! So focus on your duties, where coffee shop talk about justice has no place," Rama's message concludes.
Finally, Rama asks Elisa Spiropali to convey this message to the group of deputies from other regions of the country.
