The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, during a meeting with immigrants in Milan, stated that 2025 is the year of the Albanian diaspora.
Berisha addressed the emigrants, telling them that "this year, with your vote and unwavering will, sign the victory of the DP and the end of the narco-dictatorship."
"My friends, Albania in these years I don't say that it became a place that Albanians longed for, but from which Albanians only left. It became the place from which in 10 years the most Albanians in the history of the nation left, 45% of them."
