Prime Minister Edi Rama asked Vlora's candidate Brunilda Mersini, whom he expressed confidence will score a landslide victory, to cut the "branches of the tree" of nepotism in this municipality within 100 days. He also asked all directors of this municipality to stop playing around and go to work at 7:30.
Excerpts from the conversation:
Brunilda Mersini: I strongly believe in the staff that will raise my leadership skills and intuition in the direction of having a cleaner Vlora. Although it seems like just one sentence, it contains a strategy that the tourist city needs. Then I will look at the road in my neighborhood, because neighborhoods have daily infrastructure problems and we all have a motto together that Vlora lives 365 days a year, which is during the tourist season. We like the tourist season in Vlora because we feel Vlora as a capital beyond Albania, so we love it in winter with the same intensity.
Edi Rama: You did the right thing at the Vlora hospital. So I really hope that those directors will come there all in a row before the official opening hours and leave at the end. Second, Bruna needs to take the entire list of those who are working and start with scissors and cut the branches of nepotism. Third, I don't care about the rest. I'm telling you so that the people of Vlora can hear it, the directors should come to the municipality in a row and be around your table at 7:30.
