Investigation into Vlora Airport, Pacolli reveals what happened in the meeting
Balluku, Rama and Pacolli

Kosovo businessman Behgjet Pacolli says he never communicated with Prime Minister Edi Rama before receiving the Vlora airport concession on this issue.

"Rama was at the signing of the concession. I have never talked to Rama about this issue before. I guarantee you this. I did not talk to Mrs. Balluku afterwards, even if it were us. The only meeting was the one with the Turk where I stayed for 10 minutes and then left," said Pacolli in an interview on the "Opinion" show.

He also spoke about the July meeting with Rama in the latter's office, where Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku was also present. Pacolli denied that there had been a clash with Rama during this meeting, while he admitted to the tension with Balluku.

"That meeting was called by the Prime Minister. I went with my brother. I informed the Prime Minister about the progress of the work. The problem was a hangar, which an Italian firm insists that we build as soon as possible so that they can use it for aircraft services.

But that hangar is extremely expensive because it needs to accommodate two large airplanes and its cost is somewhere over 20 million. There I told the Prime Minister that the hangar will be built, but he must be patient because we cannot afford it now.

Tension with Balluk in the meeting? There was one case. She demanded the implementation of the agreement and the timely completion of the works and she let me know that she could not keep her promise to the Italians about the hangar. I told her that the hangar will be built, but I cannot take on this investment. It was also the moment when I learned about this scandal that the other partner had made of me.

No one at that meeting dealt with the percentage of shares. Neither Rama, nor Balluku. Absolutely not, but at that time I informed her that such a thing had happened. I was told that the transfer of shares had to be done with the permission of the ministry she heads. That permission was never given.

"Did I go out nervous? No. I was also sick that day. I had high blood pressure. I left my brother to talk there and I went downstairs. I waited because I couldn't find the car at the moment. I took my two tablets that I keep in the car. That was the concern," said Pacolli.
