Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that “Europe must contain the promise of Albania’s integration into the EU” during a meeting with entrepreneurs and international experts. The meeting was organized under the auspices of the Delphi Forum, to discuss the development opportunities offered by Albania.
Rama emphasized that Albania is not waiting for Europe, but is building Europe here. He invited foreign investors to believe in the country's transformation and become part of Albania's history by investing in our country.
"Capital does not choose randomly and we know this, it goes where there is potential. Today, Albania is this. A country with stability and direction. We are becoming a development corridor from north to south.
The new port of Durres will become one of the most important openings in the Mediterranean connecting Europe with Albania and the Balkans. Albania has a growth that does not come from slogans but from reforms.
We are building a simple and effective state. Europe 2030 is not a hope but a destination and our compass is clear. Negotiations are open, our objective is realistic and achievable on one condition, that Europe keeps its promise and that together we stick to the calendar we have jointly agreed on. Membership in 2030 is absolutely possible. We are not waiting for Europe, but to build Europe here.
"Europe means standards. Albania has never been closer. Investors must understand that this is the moment and we are ready for long-term investments. Believe in this Albania that is transforming and become part of history. Albania is not very big, so hurry up before the spaces run out," said Rama.
