Replies/Gogu-Berishës: Present philosophical hallucinations, consider
Tony Gogu

During the plenary session, there were several retorts between ruling and opposition MPs, or between the latter and the Minister of State, Toni Gogu.

The latter has responded to Democratic leader Sali Berisha, who, to illustrate how the majority is protecting corruption and acting only as an enforcer of orders, brought an example from philosophy, citing the opinion of German philosopher Hannah Arendt.

Gogu, responding to Berisha, accused him of misusing Hannah Arendt's philosophy.

"We 're talking about psychotropic substances and narcotic drugs. And the moment you present a philosophical hallucination, I think we should go back to the prescription."

Hannah Arendt herself would have been amazed to hear this speech, because in her mind there were never legislators passing laws that would move the country forward in European integration.

There were statesmen who, with their absolute power, killed to protect their power.

This is what Hannah Arendt had in mind: statesmen who absolutized power and killed to protect their power. And for you to come out and talk about the banality of evil is, I believe, the most amazing example of the banality of responsibility.

And having a colleague who comes to your defense means that that one minute of turning off the microphone, to stop listening to political and philosophical hallucinations in the middle of Europe, is a message to all those people who expect the opposition to do its job and to move this country forward, to join the majority together and to join within the deadline we have undertaken ," Gogu said.
