Following the decision to recount nearly 40% of ballot boxes nationwide, Myslim Murrizi, a Democratic Party candidate for MP in the May 11 elections, reacted sharply. Although he was among the most voted, Murrizi failed to obtain a mandate as an MP due to the contested electoral system.
In a strong statement on social media, he accuses the leaders of the DP's electoral reform of distrusting the party's own structures and of tacit cooperation with the Çelibas administration.
He does not spare irony and harsh language towards Bylykbashi and Bardhi, accusing them of manipulation and contempt for Democratic voters.
Murrizi: Of the 5,200 polling centers in Albania, at the request of the Democratic Party, 1,914 polling centers, or about 40% of the total, will be recounted across the country. The two largest regions – Tirana and Fier – will be completely recounted.
So, I have a question for the "fathers" and "mothers" of the DP's electoral reform, Mr. Oerd Bylykbashi and Mr. Gazmend Bardhi;
When you trust the election administration of the Çelibash CEC more than your DP commissioners and counters, why didn't you agree with the 10-year OSCE-ODIHR recommendations to have election administration and political commissioners from the DP, SP, SMI?
As for the bastard Electoral Code, which closes 90% of the competition for beneficiaries – out of 50 deputies, 46 are closed – we know very well that you did it for your twisted by…, because you are as afraid as the devil of holy water to go to the vote of the citizen. In every election you do not leave without inventing the dirtiest model for a rotten seat in Parliament.
What fault do Democrats have that they have to endure your distrust and disrespect?
