According to Pelesh, there will be no interpellation as long as the Constitutional Court has not issued a decision regarding the government's lawsuit for the dismissal of Balluk.
After this decision, the leader of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, reacted sharply on the floor of the Parliament.
From the beginning of his speech, Bardhi requested Rama's presence in the Assembly so that the latter can account for the scandal involving the government's number two.
He said that Rama should have been charged along with Balluk, since according to him, the perpetrator of the thefts for the Llogara tunnel and the Great Ring Road is the prime minister.
"Edi Rama today has decided to hide from the Assembly. There is a misunderstanding in the response you have given to the parliamentary group. What we have requested an interpellation with the Prime Minister is the Prime Minister's intervention in a matter under investigation. Keeping a minister in office who is a defendant and under investigation and raising claims in the request he submitted to the Constitutional Court on behalf of the Assembly without consulting the Assembly of Albania.
You said that we should wait for the decision of the Constitutional Court, but every Albanian has seen Rama come out and defend the defendant minister with a video-selfie as a means of pressure on the Constitutional Court. We have demanded that the Prime Minister come and give an account of what the motive is, and why he has become the first Prime Minister to intervene in a concrete issue and has requested on behalf of the Council of Ministers the repeal of the decision of the Anti-Corruption Court for the part that ordered the imposition of a prohibitory measure against the defendant Balluku. What business does the Prime Minister have in transforming the institution of the Prime Minister into a lawyer against a defendant? He admits through the request he has submitted that he is complicit with Balluku and should have been taken together with the defendant Balluku. The mastermind of the Llogara affair is Rama and Rama made the connection with the Turkish company", he said.
