A year after the doubling of their salaries, Prime Minister Edi Rama, Speaker of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla, ministers and deputies from the left and right, in agreement with each other, have undertaken the secret initiative to add another financial reward to themselves yearly.
In the information provided by the "Pamphlet" from the Ministry of Finance, it is stated that starting from July 1, 2024, the Prime Minister, the Speaker of the Assembly and ministers and deputies will receive a reward of 10 million Lek per year, as support for special health care private.
The request was submitted by Lindita Nikolla to Prime Minister Edi Rama, and from there to the Ministry of Finance, as an initiative of 4 ministers and 20 deputies of SP, Foltores, PD, LSI, PDIU, PR and PSD, who have "forgotten" the quarrels and have signed back their privileges.
From February 23, 2024, more precisely 3 days after the Pulpit protest; the request is being handled by the Budget specialists at the Ministry of Finance, to calculate the remuneration fund of 10 million lek per year, which the prime minister, the speaker of the Assembly and the deputies will give themselves.
According to the calculation, the health care reward for them will be 1 billion and 570 million old lek per year; of which, 170 million ALL for the prime minister and 16 ministers, while 1.4 billion ALL for the 140 deputies, or 830 thousand additional ALL per month for each.
According to the information, it is expected that the Minister of Finance, Ervin Mete, will present this draft decision as a proposal to the Council of Ministers within the month of April 2024; while after approval in the government, Babloku will present it to the Finance and Law commissions; and from there to a vote in parliament, as they did with the doubling of their salaries after the May 14, 2023 elections.
We do not know if this privilege will be voted for 1 minute under the smoky fog and the noise of whistles from the pulpit, but it is known that these 10 million lek per year, or 830 thousand lek per month for each deputy and minister, are added to the monthly bonuses that they get.
Specifically, they receive 400,000 ALL per month for fuel; 750 thousand ALL food allowance; 170 thousand ALL telephone; from ALL 20,000 for each committee meeting; 380,000 Lek for apartment rent and 30,000 Lek for each night's stay in the hotel, which in total together with the monthly salary of 3.2 million Lek, becomes 5.5 million Lek per month.
In order to approve this other financial privilege, they have decided to add to Law no. 153/2013 "On the status of the deputy", adding a bonus of 10 million lek per year, for alleged private health treatment.
But in reality it is theft, because according to the status of the deputy, they benefit from 20 to 40 million ALL in compensation from the reserve fund, when they are treated in private hospitals inside and outside Albania.
This case also proves that the party gangs rule together and divide the spoils together at night, while during the day they act as if they are fighting over the problems of the people./ Pamphlet
