Ilir Meta, with his fixation on being the third factor, or the "kingmaker" as the patrons of the kings spoiled him, personally influenced the destruction of the political space for all other parties...
Albania has not had this boring and harmful SP-PD monopoly in these 35 years.
On the contrary, a very large number of political parties have been alive, which, for better or worse, competed in all the elections held in the country; parliamentary and local. Although a good part of these parties were shams, even led by puppet characters, they still engaged people and energy, which in a way gave a little added value to the political race.
Although it is said that the annihilation of political pluralism came from the Rama-Berisha pact in 2008, where the political-electoral system was changed, this is only partially true.
The annihilation of the system of so-called small parties has come year after year from the greed and greed of many selfish and corrupt characters, naturally encouraged by the leaders of the SP and DP. To the first; Fatos Nano in the beginning and then even more Edi Rama. To the second, always the same, Dr. Sali Berisha!
However, the man who crushed this political reality was Ilir Meta. Who, like a classic axami in this field, overrated without connection for his intelligence that he never had, but above all for his gluttony, fell into the perfidious and cunning trap set up by Edi Rama and Sali Berisha .
Ilir Meta, with his fixation on being the third factor, or the "kingmaker" as the patrons of the kings spoiled him, personally influenced the destruction of the political space for all other parties.
With the hope that he would get up on his own, but in the end he fell into a big and deep hole, where he never comes out for the rest of his life.
Albania has had endless parties since 1991, even avant-garde parties such as the Ecological Party of Namik Hoti in the early 90s. A peaceful and erudite character who created the first political force and whose environment was the core of his politics in the Balkans.
We have had an Agrarian party, which in a rural country like ours, could find the right ground, which was created by two talented and passionate agricultural specialists, who made the mistake of their lives, giving the party to Lufter Xhuveli, a the arriviste who then 'took him for paint'.
However, the Agrarian Party today is in the hands of Agron Duka, an old businessman and politician, but still with an opinion of his own, who can keep it alive and develop its identity.
We had AD, the first liberal democratic party in Albania, which was the engine of the overthrow of Sali Berisha the First, with personalities such as Neritan Ceka, Gramoz Pashko, Perikli Teta, Preç Zogaj, but also Frrok Çupi, Ridvan Peshkopia, Arben Demeti, Arben The imam. The latter, in 2005, buried that party at the behest of Sali Berisha, who bought his soul, and by corrupting him fourfold.
We had old parties such as Balli Kombëtar and Legaliteti, which Sali Berisha divided so as not to factor them, as from the left we had the PSD of Skënder Gjinushi, who in the end sold the party to Tom Doshi for 2 apartments and a post the chief academician. Paskal Milo had his party, which he destroyed by turning into a senseless vassal of Ilir Meta. And so on.
It is no mystery at all that all the small parties were not organic political organisms, that is, they had 100% of their electorate. They acted by taking advantage of the discontent of the main parties or others. Quite a normal process, since politicians, especially in the territory, are not created so easily. Because people need to earn their daily bread.
These small politicians in cities and villages, with their circle serving as "political treasure", managed to get elected to the municipal councils, municipal councils, or even competed for mayors. Giving but also taking from the parties with whom they entered into a contract.
Ilir Meta destroyed this scheme in 2013, when at the 'eel dinner', as they say, Edi Rama did what the head of the LSI said. Meta demanded that Gjinushi's PSD be destroyed, as well as Kreshnik Spahi's Red Alliance, which at that time had relatively small quotas in public perception. A task that Edi Rama carried out until the end, since he was also the first interested in the destruction of every small political subject.
Rama, who achieved a hypocritical coalition with several small parties, led by Shpëtim Idrizi's PDIU, personally invested in the mission of destroying the small ones by distributing positions close to the SP, characters who were skilled at getting votes outside the compact mass of left-wing voters.
Today, we see many characters from these parties, from Halit Valteri, Florjan Pullazi, or even Tom Doshi, Qifja and "Chami i Dibra"-Lala i Muhurri, who are more socialist than Servet Pëllumbi, as they were conceived in the majority. As in Berisha's Democratic Party, many ex-ballistas, legalists or allianceists have joined him.
But this interest of the big parties was known, they would protect themselves and their fold precisely by finding political elements in the territory and liquidate any competitor. In a way it is logical that the big ones protect their interest.
But Ilir Meta, being alone and liquidating colleagues like him, did nothing but turn into a 'sheleg' in front of two wolves. Who quite normally would tear it up, when they saw fit.
If Ilir Meta had a little vision, exactly when he was strong, he would have to strengthen and unite with all the other parties in a "Third Front", which either arithmetically or politically could become a factor , at least to stop absolute majorities.
Ilir Meta, to do this, was not only stopped by the lack of vision, but his gluttony lured him to take everything for himself, a greed that left him with nothing; at first politically and slowly also financially. But worst of all, he didn't have a man to be by his side in his worst days.
Meanwhile, this idiotic operation has caused the country a stalemate in the operation and establishment of every small party, especially new ones, as it is being proven./ Pamphlet
