Without food reform, justice reform will be of no use to us...
In Gramsh, children were poisoned in kindergarten. It is not the first time and, unfortunately, it will not be the last time. Because in Albania there is no longer any food control; there are licenses for silent murders, signed by the National Food Authority.
The AKU is the militants' second home: a nursery for "our kids," who, from unemployed electricians, music teachers, and military personnel, magically transform into "food safety inspectors." Because everyone can eat whatever they want, but they dare not touch any business with party ties, that's where the inspectors end up with the order: "close your eyes or close the file."
In the last 15 years, the AKU has changed 13 directors. SP, PD, LSI, PDIU and each one has put their hands in the tender bag and filled the ranks with servile people. Instead of specialists, they have appointed servants. Instead of laboratories, they have built networks of favors.
What happens? Every school, kindergarten, hospital and canteen is a ticking time bomb. Because the checks are carried out according to the party's orders, not according to security protocols. And when poisoning breaks out, they come up with dirty statements, like: "We will investigate...", "We are waiting for the tests...", "The children are out of danger."
No, they are not out of danger. Because children are growing up in a country where food is not controlled, but contracted. Where health protection is an electoral item, not a state priority. And where those responsible are always "under investigation", but never in prison.
In a normal country, after a poisoning case in a public institution for children, there would be arrests, resignations, criminal penalties. In Albania, there is only a change of company for the next supplier.
Justice reform is important. But without a food reform, justice reform will only serve to bury the poisoned. Because poisoning does not begin with the product. Poisoning begins with the state that accepts everything, it is enough for them to be "ours"./ Pamphlet
