PD MP Jorida Tabaku said that the time has come for the opposition to unite against the government of Edi Rama, and for the rotation to happen.
Invited to the "Opinion" column, with journalist Nisida Tufa, Tabaku said that a fragmented PD only serves Edi Rama.
" There is no doubt that those who have not understood that the fragmented PD does the government a favor. I could have done my personal calculations, but I think that we have the opposition's first interest and that of the citizens. Today, the base also demands the unification of the DP and not its division. I believe we can make a dignified opposition offer. The municipality of Kukës would have been a very good example, which as I recall is a missed opportunity. It is unforgivable that on May 14 we did not manage to have a unified alternative. It is inconceivable that the votes will be directed towards another party.
Will there be a merger? We cannot resolve a debate here today that has been going on for two years, but this cannot take away my ambition to talk about the people and not about us. For this reason, I withdrew from the function I had. I believe I exercised my duty without having any position. I think I was conscious in my decisions and I had consistency. Of course, we all make mistakes, but I believe that I have been correct and with my voters ," she said.
Tabaku further stated that: " I asked that there be no unilateral solutions, because they do not help anyone but the government to fuel the internal division. We hope to change because it is a situation where the time has really come for every opposition factor to gather and make real opposition on all platforms" .
