The Assembly has decided that the debate on the new budget will be discussed on Monday. Every year, this has been described as the most important session, which has lasted dozens of hours, where each deputy has taken the floor to express his opinion.
But unlike in previous years, it seems that this time the budget may pass without discussion at all. At least this has been warned by the opposition, which has made it clear that on Monday it will escalate its action in the Parliament hall.
After a meeting between the MPs, Sali Berisha went to a media conference and warned of tensions in the session, not withdrawing from the blocking scenario even for the budget.
" Deputies of the opposition on behalf of the opposition people and citizens who believe in the values of democracy, who consider pluralism as its main tool, who believe that those in power should be investigated by parliamentary commissions with transparency, all activity will be reflected, an important article capital must be respected.
Laws, resolutions and amendments of the opposition must be forwarded in accordance with the parliamentary procedure.
These are the most basic demands, for which the deputies are determined in this battle without return until victory.
The important thing is that Albanians will see on Monday the strong resistance of the opposition in the parliament. This is a battle without return ," said Berisha, among other things.
