The publication by the world media of giving Sazan and Zvernec to a consortium, where the main actor is the family of Donald Trump's daughter, is not that it was born just now, last month.
Edi Rama, as he himself explained, started this effort over two years ago, begging the head of the tourist company 'Aman', Vladislav Doronin.
Who then visited the southern Albanian coast by yacht, together with Jared Kouchner and Ivanka Trump, where he met with Edi Rama.
As it is known, the Albanian Prime Minister has started the construction of the Vlora airport, with in mind the creation of an exclusive zone for billionaires in Sazan, Karaburun and Laguna e Zvërnec.
Despite the statement that he did not know anything about Zvrnec, the talks have been done for a long time through a logic; to create an exclusive area in Sazan and Karaburun, where a group of resorts and casinos for the rich will dominate.
Some time ago, Rama also published a meeting with a large suite of sheikhs in Tirana, which he introduced as investors from Saudi Arabia, who had come at the request of Muhammad Bin Salman. It is Saudi and Qatari petrodollars that will finance the big projects of Sazan, Karaburun and Zvernec. But the entry of Jared Kouchner's Aman company gives this consortium another weight of investment, which will likely be large, but also a model that can isolate these areas from the rest of the territory.
Even the airport of Vlora, more than a place where the lowcoast airlines landed, will be an air port for landing and taking off the exclusive charters of the sheikhs who will visit the "territory of sin" on the island of Sazan.
A similar model is Saint Stefan in Montenegro, which is managed by the Aman company. The center of activity is the casino of the small island near Budva, where exclusively horny people go from all over. And so, together with the profits that are guaranteed, the money that comes from here and there is washed and washed away, in a very easy way.
Currently, although it is connected to the land, St. Stephen is closed to the public since 2021. With the excuse of the closure due to the pandemic, today on the island that also includes the former villa of the Serbian queen Maria, St. Stephen is an exclusive area. In Montenegro, there has been a lot of talk and controversy in the media and public opinion.
Meanwhile, Sazani, which is totally separated from the land, will in all likelihood turn into a forbidden apple for the public, as the plan is for an exclusive territory of clientele, which is thought to be of a luxury level.
Not only Sazani, but the entire territory that connects the airport of Vlora that is being built near Zvernec, the resort that is expected to be built in the uninhabited part of the Lagoon, which is connected to the airport and to Sazani and Karaburun, then with a water corridor for yachts and fast customer transport ships. Who will also be accommodated in the 10,000 rooms that are expected to be built in the resort of Zvrnec, where the center will be the gambling points for the gamblers.
The creation of this sanitary corridor from the airport of Vlorë - Zvërneci and Sazani, will practically turn into a closed area not only the large and only island in Albania, but also the water corridor that leads to Sazan and Karaburun, where they will sail the yachts of those who will arrive by air, land or even the sea are also added.
This is by no means an unknown model, since even in neighboring Italy, entire areas in Puglia, or some areas of the Sorrento coast in the Campagna have simply become sites for the world's richest, where no normal person can access.
The question is how much will the country benefit from the employment or use of Albanian products? It is very likely that both high-level and low-level employees will be called from other countries, but it is too early for that. What should be underlined is that the announcement by Trump's son-in-law of these investments is nothing more than a confirmation of the agreement that was reached long ago with Edi Rama. Who, in addition to Trump, has also hosted Arab sheikhs, and for this reason he has not spoken to anyone, because they are his lands, not national wealth./ Pamphlet
