The leader of the Democratic Councilors' group in the Elbasan Municipal Council, Doris Madhi, has rejected the Democratic Party's accusations that she supported the PSD during the 2025 parliamentary elections.
The DP branch in Elbasan declared yesterday that Madhi was removed from the membership lists because she "has been maximally engaged alongside the political entity Social Democratic Party" during the 2025 electoral campaign and that "during the vote counting process in Prrenjas, Ms. Madhi has been engaged as a PSD observer."
Madhi not only denies such political betrayal on her part, but adds that in Prrenjas her oppositional insistence has invalidated "two ballot boxes in which the SP had come out with a result of 101%, that is, with 20 votes more than in the minutes."
"Dear wretched ones,
My posts have been public and have supported DP members and my friends without hesitation or fear! I would never support people like you, directly linked to crime, whether for family affiliation, or for bargains and benefits! The current DP chairman, Prrenjas, has personally thanked me for the help I gave him in the counting process, by invalidating two boxes in which the SP had come out with a result of 101%, i.e. with 20 votes more than in the minutes.
I'm curious, the DP MP who had time to take a picture of me, why did she leave when I suspended the voting process for over 2 hours and didn't have the guts to face the SP people?! Explain to us a little, who induced the votes of the DP-Sara Mile and then agreed to close the Sports Palace for 3 hours along with the counters inside?! The rest to follow... Good luck to the new mayor", says Madhi.
Cooperation with the PSD has not only been denied by Madhi, but also by Tom Doshi's political force itself.
In an official reaction, PSD states that the leader of the group of democratic councilors in the Elbasan Municipal Council has never been its observer during the vote counting process in Prrenjas.
It turns out that the names of Rudina Alla, chairwoman of the Democratic Forum of Women in Elbasan, former MP Zheni Gjergji, appointed director of the Elbasan Hospital, and Alesia Balliut have also been removed from the Democratic Party membership lists in Elbasan. The latter has publicly announced her ambition to run in the race for the leadership of the Democratic Party, facing Sali Berisha, but this has apparently increased dissatisfaction within the blue headquarters.
This wave of expulsions comes just a few days after the Democratic Party expelled Dritan Burgija and Arlind Boshku as its advisors in the Durrës Municipal Council, after the latter supported Ervin Salianji's movement.
