Deputy of the Democratic Party Saimir Korreshi has commented on the decision taken yesterday by the Council of Legislation regarding the mandate of Olta Xhaçka, in the first session of the Assembly.
He said that the opposition was surprised by the attitude of the majority, according to him, a 180 degree change from the previous statements of Blendi Çuçi, where it is said that the Constitutionalist cannot impose the attitude or the way of voting on the deputies.
Korreshi casts doubt that it was precisely his stance on this issue that cost him the position as chairman of the SP parliamentary group, a position now held by former Interior Minister Taulant Balla.
"Finally, this democratic state decided to respect what they have called the greatest achievement all along, that is, the justice system, which for me is lame in 90 percent of it. The attitude of the majority was a surprise.
Yesterday there were jokes because the majority did not want a final report, this was laughable. It is true that we are an advisory body, but the report is necessary.
Yesterday, the SP made a 180-degree turn from the previous statements of Çuçi, who said that the GJK cannot impose our position or vote. This has also cost him his position as chairman of the parliamentary group of the SP", said Korreshi for "News 24".
