Democratic Party MP Edi Paloka has spoken about Prime Minister Rama's visit to Qatar. He described it as a luxury visit at a time when the country is facing massive floods and serious infrastructure problems.

Paloka has harshly accused the prime minister of displaying a total disconnect from the reality of citizens. According to the Democrat MP, even if the visit to Qatar had been official and planned, any serious leader would have canceled it to be close to his country in an emergency situation.
"On the contrary, even if he were somewhere abroad, as has happened with the governors of normal countries, and such a situation occurred, he should have returned," he declared.
Paloka has compared the prime minister's lifestyle to that of "the teenage son of a sheikh," who, according to him, uses power to fulfill his every personal whim.
"I was one of the first to discover this fact and not only this fact, but several times such facts about the life that our prime minister leads, who from time to time does not forget to declare that he is not a lover of luxury, but who in fact, as always, does the complete opposite of what he says. Even if it were a planned official visit, in this situation where the country is, any prime minister or serious statesman would not move from the country.
