On May 11, the general parliamentary elections will be held in Albania, and for the first time, even Albanians living outside the borders will have the right to vote by mail.
It is enough for them to register with a process that started today and will continue for almost 2 months.
Depending on the number of Albanians who will be registered as voters, an idea can be created as to what extent their participation in the elections can be, if it can influence the determination of a winner, or how much weight it can have in the developments. political.
Parallel to the opening of the registration process, we have a massive movement of representatives of the Government, the majority of Prime Minister Edi Rama, against two countries, Greece and Italy, where we have perhaps the largest concentration of Albanians living outside the borders.
And it is not at all surprising that the attention of Rama's socialists is limited only to these states, with the clear aim of maximizing the vote support of the Albanians who live and work in these states.
And if before there were buses, ferries or planes that were filled to bring immigrants to vote, paying for their tickets, or blocking them for hours at the land borders, to bring them under their noses so that they don't vote and to turn back, today it is easier for the 'masters' of politics and power.

Of course, this is a much smaller cost than the financial cost that was previously used to cut plane, bus, ferry tickets or to pay for the liters of fuel of those who traveled in their cars, and in the case of voting, even they met relatives, friends and colleagues, they also took some vacations.
The percentage of Albanians living in the USA, Great Britain, Germany, how interested they will be in voting and how many of them will vote to support the new subjects, the Government or the opposition, will be interesting in the process of voting for immigrants. ?
This is due to the fact that while in Italy and Greece there may be a 'pressure' to direct the vote, such a process seems a little more difficult for those who have chosen to live in the 3 countries where there is also a majority of Albanian immigrants.
And while previously there was talk about the Dubai chunas who may have influenced the electoral processes in Albania, this time it will be interesting who will be supported by the 'London chunas' as those who emigrated to Great Britain were baptized with this name .
Maybe it could be the latter who on May 11 make a difference, not so strong as to have political rotations, but they can "give" a few slaps from a distance, as debt repayment, since they used every way and means, to 'left perhaps for a better life, or to escape from a place where they saw no hope. / Pamphlet /
