Chief Prosecutor Olsian Çela was also asked in the Assembly about security in justice institutions, following the murder in the Court of Appeals of Judge Astrit Kalaja.
Çela said that the serious incident is an incentive to act as urgently as possible, emphasizing that in terms of security there is much room for improvement.
"Based on the issue that has been discussed and has to do with the serious incident where a magistrate lost his life. This is also related to the condition of the buildings, the trained staff or not, in terms of security, there is a lot of room for improvement. The serious incident is an incentive to act as urgently as possible. We have made our efforts. I believe that some measures are being taken, there is also cooperation with the police. This needs a coordinated approach and a rethink regarding the security of magistrates. There are concerns from prosecutors that we have tried to respond to," said Çela.
