The head of the EU's foreign policy, Josep Borrell, has issued an ultimatum to Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, to resolve the conflict in the north.
Through a post on his social network "Twitter", Borrel has listed three conditions that must be implemented urgently by both parties. The EU demands that new elections be held in the 4 northern municipalities as soon as possible.
It also demands that the participation of Kosovo Serbs in the elections be guaranteed, and after the completion of these two conditions, the implementation of the Association will begin. In case the two countries fail to fulfill the demands, the EU has warned of serious consequences for both sides.
" We have 3 clear demands: 1- New local elections now. 2- Ensuring the participation of Kosovo Serbs in the elections. 3- The beginning of the work for the establishment of the Association of Municipalities with a Serbian Majority with the Dialogue facilitated by the EU. Refusal of the demands will have serious consequences for our relations ", said Borrell.

Borrell's requests came after Osmani's meeting with the President of France, Emanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the head of EU Foreign Policy, Josep Borrell, where the Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic, was also present at this meeting.
It was the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, who first said that Germany and France have asked Kosovo and Serbia to hold new elections in the municipalities in the north of Kosovo.
" France and Germany asked the leaders of Kosovo and Serbia to organize new elections in the regions affected by the unrest as soon as possible ," said Macron, who added that the rules for elections were also clarified.
Osmani also confirmed the meeting with Vucic. Osmani said that the president of France, Emanuel Macron, the German chancellor Olaf Scholz and the head of the EU's foreign policy, Josep Borrell, were also present during the meeting. The president emphasized that once again it was proven that Vucic is not interested in solutions or peace.
" At the end of the meeting with Macron and Scholz, they proposed to have an informal discussion with the president of Serbia, of course the High Representative of the EU, Josep Borrell, was also at the meeting. We had a joint meeting for about 10 minutes, where it was proven once again that Vucic is not interested in solutions or peace, but in fact is the main source of instability in our entire region", she said./Pamphlet
