Prime Minister Albin Kurti has declared that Kosovo for the first time has a government that is not related to organized crime and is not afraid of it.
During the end-of-year party organized by the Vetëvendosja Movement, Kurti declared that organized crime is terrified of the government. According to him, they "either run away or surrender".
"Eh, if only the prosecutors were a little braver and the judges were a little more hardworking, we could become European champions from the Balkan champions we are," said the Prime Minister of Kosovo. He further spoke about the successes of the government he leads in 2023.
According to him, the economic data in Kosovo show that there is room for optimism.
"We are the country with the largest economic growth in our region. Of course, we know that there are difficulties, because we started from a bad start, not from zero but from minus. But there is also a reason to celebrate", stated Kurti.
According to him, this was the year that anti-corruption led to economic growth and social developments.
"Because it was the year of our progressive government with institutional stability, which turned anti-corruption into economic growth, while freedom for citizens turned into social development. It is precisely the public's trust in democratic governance that also brought economic dividends for the state and the population" , he concluded.
