The head of EULEX in Kosovo, Giovanni Pietro Barbano, has reacted to reports that new Serbian police officers are being threatened after taking office.
He said that any kind of intimidation is unacceptable.
"I am very concerned about media reports regarding threatening messages against newly deployed Kosovo Police officers from non-majority communities. Any type of intimidation is unacceptable and I emphasize the importance that the Kosovo Police reflects and represents the entire population of Kosovo", wrote Barbano on Twitter.
KosovaPress has reported that Serbian social networks have published the photos and names of five young Serbian members who have just started their duties in the Kosovo Police.
The publication was made by the Serbian channel t.me/BunkerSrb on the Russian platform "Telegram".
Furthermore, the names and surnames of five Serbs have been published, which for security reasons are not made public.
The post continued with the threat, saying that "this is not the final list, and that others will be published later."
Out of 400 young KP cadets, 45 of them are from the Serbian community.
