Kosovo police announced late Friday that they had arrested a man and confiscated explosive devices, ammunition and other suspicious items in the north of the country.
She said she conducted a search in North Mitrovica after receiving information about suspicious vehicles at a location in the city.
" The inspection was carried out in a house and its surrounding facilities ," she said.
Police said they found and confiscated four M79 hand grenades, various types of ammunition, and other suspicious items.
In this case, the Police have arrested a 37-year-old man, for whom the court has ordered 48 hours of detention.
" In connection with the case, the suspect (MB), born in 1988, was arrested, who was escorted to the police station where, in the presence of his defense attorney, he was given a silent defense ," the police said, REL reported.
Kosovo police have discovered and confiscated weapons and ammunition in the north on several occasions in recent years.
