EU sanctions against Kosovo, Albin Kurti reacts: Unfair, there is no compromise
Albin Kurti

Prime Minister Albin Kurti has reacted regarding EU sanctions against Kosovo. Kurti said that these measures are unfair.

He added that Kosovo cannot compromise with the rule of law or the constitutionality of the country.

" These are not sanctions, but it is true that they are temporary measures, but unfair because Kosovo and its government are both the state and the most democratic, pro-European and progressive executive. On the other hand, we have a constant confrontation with various forms of aggression by Serbia, which is an autocratic and pro-Russia state and has not faced its criminal past in the space of the former Yugoslavia, where it has caused four wars.

In any case, we do our job, but let's not forget that we cannot compromise either with the rule of law or with the constitutionality of our country, so we will continue with the implementation of our government program and we hope that these temporary measures they will be very short so that both support and European aid are complete because Kosovo is a country that needs support in its development ", he said.

Kurti further said that Kosovo is ready and interested much more than Serbia for normalization with de facto recognition in the center.

" The dialogue table is for the implementation of the agreement for full normalization and also for de-escalation. We are ready, much more interested than the other side for normalization with de facto recognition in the center, for mutual recognition, but we are also interested and ready for the de-escalation of the situation, which I have spoken about publicly in all the languages that I know in order to have peace and tranquility in the north of Kosovo, but also Kosovo and Serbia as two countries to build a neighborhood of the European type ", he said.

Regarding the park inaugurated on Sunday, Kurti said that this park of 1 hectare has a value of 124 thousand euros.

" All big decisions are made for the present and the future, and this is for our children. We wish that this park will become a place where everyone will create good moments. It is precisely these spaces that connect the individual with the country. This park is 124 thousand euros for 1 hectare ", he said.

The Mayor of the Municipality, Qemajl Aliu, and the Ambassador of Germany in Kosovo, Jorn Rohde, were also present at this event on Sunday.
