Although the signals for a crisis between the two highest institutions of the state, the government and the presidency in Kosovo have been there even earlier, their manifestation became clear, when the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, openly criticized the government, due to the fact that a representative Foreign NGOs like Gerald Knaus knew more than she did regarding the issue of actions towards membership in the Council of Europe.
Osmani called the claims of Speaker Konjufca ridiculous, who justified the president's failure to inform about the letter that Gërvalla sent to KiE, with the fact that the president was abroad. For Osmani, the distance was an excuse that did not hold, at the time when telephones exist, while A2 CNN sources claim that two days before sending the letter, Osmani had returned to Kosovo.
The member of the Security Committee of the Kosovo Assembly, Hisen Berisha, tells A2 CNN that Gërvalla should be part of a not only criminal, but also parliamentary investigation for her actions, which, as she says, have consequences in foreign policy.
And the deputy of the "Guxo" list, Burim Meta, has emphasized for A2CCN, "that the avoidance of information to the president by the government is a great concern and that such actions should not be allowed.
The head of state, Vjosa Osmani, raised several questions. If the problem was the lack of physical presence in Kosovo, then how is it possible that a representative of the civil society in Germany who was also not present in Kosovo received that letter, in front of the Presidency of the country, in front of the Parliament, and in front of the people of Kosovo.
The questions have not been answered by the government nor by Prime Minister Kurti, who, despite A2 CNN's insistence, refused to comment. / A2 CNN
