Zhaklin Lekatari: Sex maybe becomes more over the age of 60

Zhaklin Lekatari spoke on the show 'Rreze Dielli' about sex after the age of 60, a topic that is still considered taboo in our country.

"Actually, it is thought that only young people have sexual relations, but this is a mistake... at the age of over 60, maybe it becomes more" this is how Lekatari starts the conversation.

"Different cultures have different experiences and discussions about sex, e.g. in our country, a woman over 40 years old, like me, should have been "out of the market" for the intimacy part, but in fact it is not so, since sexuality and sexual desires are not related to age," she continued.

"Sex should be considered as daily food, that is, a physiological need without which we cannot do, and of course this has no age, as we do not eat less when we get old," emphasized Zhaklin in the studio.

According to recent studies, it turns out that sex is still important even when you are over 60 years old, which was previously thought to be important only for young people... Statistics from the Institute of Science in the USA have revealed that 40% of people aged 65 -80-year-olds are still sexually active and that 84% of men and 69% of women of this age believe that sex is important to a relationship, adding that sexual satisfaction and interest differ between the sexes as age increases. Research shows that half of men aged 65-80 said they were very interested in sex, compared to 12% of women in the same age group.

At the end of the interview, Zhaklin Lekatari said that our entire society needs to be emancipated in many directions and that culture and an open mind are needed to discuss such topics that are still considered taboo for our country.
