Mike Tyson is one of the best heavyweight boxers of all time, and he dominated the sport at the turn of the last century. In the period from 1985 to 2005, Tyson had 58 professional fights and ended his career at the age of 39.
He achieved 50 wins with only six losses, and won 44 times by knockout, thus demonstrating incredible strength in the ring. Evander Holyfield beat him twice, while the British Lennox Lewis defeated him in 2002, and next to them 'Iron Man' lost to Buster Douglas, Danny Williams and Kevin McBride.
However, Tyson did not list any of the boxers mentioned as an opponent who could handle his punches.
That honor goes to Jose Ribalti, who Tyson fought in his 26th fight when he was just 20 years old. It was August 1986 and Tyson won by tenth round TKO in New Jersey.
He recorded his 26th straight win, and his first loss came in 1990 against Berry Douglas, which was his 38th fight.
" I was hitting Jose Ribalta with all my strength, but he was taking my punches very well and coming back for more. Jose Ribalta stood by me and was extremely strong ", Tyson stated.
