Carlos Sainz is preparing for another season in Formula 1, with the Ferrari driver having his sights set on 2024.
" I think I've improved from 2022. Last year I was better, although I don't consider it the best season of my career. But I know that the Scuderia is taking steps forward and if we keep improving, then we can challenge Red Bull .
The relationship with Leklerk? I think we are the strongest pair in Formula 1. He is very good and very fast, we respect each other and we always put Ferrari before us. We have been together in a team for three years and we haven't had a single accident on the track. And we are always very close to each other .
Last year's car? I was told that it was a car adapted to my characteristics, but during the year that car has given me a lot of "headaches". It was a difficult car to give and it showed during the first tests. We were not understanding what was missing and where was the difference with Red Bull. But, in the second half of the season, we improved and I believe we are on the right track .
The podium in Monza and the success in Singapore were definitely the best moments of 2023, I feel proud because I was the only driver to "break" RedBull's dominance. It was difficult and there was pressure, but me and the team did a great job and that makes me feel proud", said Sainz.
