The German Cup quarter-final between Bayern Munich and Leipzig kicks off today at 20:45. The match will take place at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
On the eve of the match, Albanian-born striker Brajan Gruda, part of Leipzig, published in his "story" on social media the announcement of the challenge against Bayern. Gruda, 21, joined Leipzig in the winter transfer window on loan from Brighton.
The Leipzig coach has not made the official lineup public and it remains unclear whether Gruda will start the match as a starter or will be activated from the bench.
Meanwhile, the coach of the Albanian national team, Silvinjo, has long been following the player for a possible invitation to the red and black team. Currently, Gruda is part of the Germany U-21 team. FIFA regulations allow him to change national teams, as he has not debuted with the German national team A.
Today's challenge in Munich represents another test for the 21-year-old striker in a competition as important as the German Cup.
