A video widely shared on social media has attracted international attention, sparking numerous discussions, especially in Italy.
The footage shows a moment from an event held in Seattle, where instead of the Iranian flag, an Italian flag was placed, accompanied by the inscription " Benvenuti " (welcome). This unexpected detail has led many Italian users to wonder if it is a deliberate message or a protocol error.
There has been no shortage of speculation online. Some commentators suggest that the incident could be a hidden signal for possible diplomatic developments between Italy and the United States, such as a surprise meeting or an unconfirmed official visit.
However, a simpler and more likely explanation remains that of human error. The Italian and Iranian flags have the same color scheme – green, white and red – with the main difference being the central symbol, a detail that may not be easily discerned in haste or carelessness.
Despite this, the reactions on the network continue. Italian users have chosen to comment with humor, but also to feed various theories, showing that even a small detail, like the wrong placement of a flag, can quickly become a topic of global discussion.
