Although the results at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics were not up to expectations, Lara Colturi has experienced the experience with sportsmanship. The skier representing Albania has emphasized that participating in this major event is an important step in her career.
In an interview with "Olympics.com", Colturi also touched on the connection with her mother, Daniela Ceccarelli, Olympic champion in super-slalom at the 2002 Salt Lake City Games. She expressed pride in the sporting heritage she carries.
" This is my first Winter Olympics, if we take away what I did in my mother's womb. Now things have changed. Before I was known as Ceccarelli's daughter, who won the gold medal in 2002, now she is the mother of a competitor in the Winter Olympics ," Colturi declared.
Regardless of the results, the Albanian skier considers participation in "Milano-Cortina 2026" as an important personal and professional moment, underlining the pride for her family and her representation in the international arena.
