
The leader of La Liga, Girona has been stuck in a goalless tie against Almeria, in the game valid for the 20th week of the Spanish championship.
With this draw, Girona has assisted the first place Real Madrid, which has one game less and is only 1 point behind the first place.
The game was balanced, with both teams trying throughout the 90-minutes to score, but to no avail. In the 80th minute, Girona was left with 10 players, after Garcia's red card. However, the 0-0 draw did neither team any favours, with Almeria sitting last on 6 points, and Girona who could already lose the top spot if Real triumph in their next game.
While in the next match of La Liga, Valencia won with the result 1-4 against Cadiz, thus securing three very valuable points.
Valencia managed to take the advantage in the 8th minute, through Duro. But the advantage would not last long, as in the 21st Cadiz would win a penalty which was then turned into a goal by Alcaraz. The first 45 minutes ended with the numbers sealed 1-1.

Guerra then scored the third in the minute ('90+4). 4 minutes later in the '98 Vazquez scored the fourth sealing the numbers 1-4.
