The first half ends, Chelsea knocks PSG to their knees in the Club World Cup

Chelsea have stunned European champions Paris Saint-Germain with a spectacular first half in the Club World Cup final. The match being played at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey was dominated in every aspect by the London Blues, who led convincingly 3-0 after 45 minutes.

Cole Palmer has become the Parisians' nightmare, scoring two top-class goals in the 22nd and 30th minutes, and providing the assist for Joao Pedro's third goal in the 43rd minute. Every Chelsea action has become a real danger for the PSG goal, which seems clueless, unresponsive and disoriented.

The Champions League champions, who had come into this final as favourites, have failed to find the rhythm that characterised them in the other matches. Yellow cards received by Neto, Caicedo and Gusto show the growing nervousness and tension.

Chelsea, on the other hand, are playing with composure, confidence and ferocity, showing signs that they are back to winning the big trophies. If the second half continues in the same vein, this will be the biggest blow PSG have ever suffered on the international stage.
