Teuta has managed to secure its place in the Albanian football elite, after triumphing with a minimum score of 1-0 over Pogradec in the "play-out" match.
The match was characterized by great caution from both teams and a slow pace of play, with scoring opportunities lacking almost throughout the match. The first shot on goal was recorded only after an hour of play, when Boçi tried for Teuta.
The key moment of the match was the 81st minute, when referee Eldorian Jorgji sent Pogradec player Pius off with a red card after reviewing the episode on VAR for an elbow in midfield.
With one more player on the field, Teuta took control of the game and increased the pressure in the final minutes. The decisive goal came in the second minute of extra time, when Klejdi Daci sent the ball into the net and sealed the survival of the Durrës team.
This success ends a difficult season for Teuta, who managed to maintain their place in the Super League despite a disappointing fourth stage. On the other hand, Pogradec failed for the second year in a row to secure promotion to the elite through the play-out match.
