Portugal has another Cristiano Ronaldo in its national team. Cristiano Ronaldo Junior has been called up for the first time to the Portuguese U-15 national team, following in his father's footsteps. This historic moment was celebrated with pride by CR7 himself, who shared the news on his social networks.
Cristiano Junior is on the list of those gathered to participate in the "Vlatko Markovic" international tournament, which will take place in Croatia, from May 13 to 18. Portugal will first face Japan, then Greece and England.
Ronaldo's son currently plays for Al Nassr's youth teams, the club his father also plays for. He has previously been part of the academies of Juventus and Manchester United, always following in the footsteps of the Portuguese superstar.
In a rare case in football history, father and son will be internationals at the same time: Ronaldo Senior with the A national team, aiming to participate in the 2026 World Cup, while Ronaldo Junior with Portugal U-15.
Even his grandmother, Dolores Aveiro, has publicly expressed her joy and pride: " I am very proud of my grandson who is following in his father's footsteps by representing our national team. Grandma will be there to support you. PRIDE ."
