The match between Bologna and Milan scheduled for Saturday at 18:00 will not be played due to bad weather. This is how "ANSA" reports. The mayor of Bologna, Mateo Lepore, after consulting with the police commissioner and the prefect, signed an ordinance ordering the suspension of the match.
The decision was taken due to the forecast of rain and activities to restore the situation in the neighborhood where the stadium is located and which was the most affected by the floods on Saturday evening. The match, according to the ordinance, would bring 35,000 people to the stadium, creating problems with public order.
" Bologna-Milan will not be played on Saturday in Dall'Ara. The Mayor, after consulting with the Police Commissioner and the Prefect, this afternoon signed an ordinance ordering the suspension of the soccer match scheduled for Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the "Renato Dall'Ara " stadium. - it is stated in the announcement of the Municipality.
The decision was shared with the prefecture: the Bologna-Milan match would bring around 35,000 people to the Dall'Ara stadium, in via Andrea Costa and therefore close to the most critical area of the city, resulting in public order problems due to the presence of fans and the closure of traffic in the entire surrounding area from early afternoon to evening".
Furthermore, due to the weather alert and due to the floods of the last few days which have weakened the stability of the soil, the Municipality of Bologna has once again decided as a precautionary measure to close all schools for tomorrow, Friday, October 25.
