Fenerbahçe and Manchester United play tonight at 21:00 the third round in the Europa League. Coach Joze Murinjo, who leads the Turks, finds himself facing a former team that he led earlier, as he was not calm before this challenge.
On Wednesday evening in the streets of Istanbul, there were violent clashes between the ultras of Fenerbahçe and those of Manchester United. The Turkish team is known for the extraordinary atmosphere created by their ultras, however, it seems that the situation has gotten out of control, as footage has emerged of Red Devils fans being abused by Turkish fans.
A supporter who claimed to have been involved in the brawl told Manchester United's blog that there were around 50 violent fans.
" About 50 of them gathered for us. A guy followed me down a street and pretended to help me before punching me in the jaw ." Fortunately, no one was injured.
