The coach of the Albanian national team, Silvinjo, is following with concern the physical situation of the players on the eve of the play-off matches for the World Cup, hoping that the list of injuries will not expand further.
The Reds are expected to face significant absences in these matches. Forwards Rei Manaj and Mirlind Daku are already out due to injuries, while goalkeeper Etrit Berisha is also considered absent.
Another big question mark for the coaching staff is the condition of captain Berat Gjimshiti. The defender has had frequent physical problems this season, however, he was back on the field and was expected to be ready for the March matches.
After the last match against Inter in the championship, Gjimshiti has shown physical concerns again. Recently, he has been training differently, only holding sessions in the gym on the eve of his team's match against Bayern Munich.
The club has not yet provided any official details on the player's condition. This leaves open the question of whether Gjimshiti will be available for the upcoming Champions League and Serie A matches, as well as to join the national team.
