Faced with Liverpool and Rangers, fans set fire to the stadium stands after the

FC Haka, the famous Finnish club with nine championship titles, is facing another serious blow just a few months after falling from the football elite.

One of the stands at the Factory Field stadium was completely destroyed by a large fire that broke out on Sunday evening.

Police have arrested three teenagers in connection with the incident, and a 15-year-old has reportedly admitted to starting the fire. However, the three minors are not expected to face charges, as they are under the minimum age of criminal responsibility in Finland.

The fire not only destroyed the entire stand, but also damaged the synthetic grass field, causing the club significant infrastructure damage.

Club chairman Marko Larson reacted with disappointment: " This is a moment we didn't need at all. We have received a lot of support from the people and we will need even more in the future. We have not yet estimated the cost of the damages, but it is clear that it will be high ."

Even the executive director, Oli Hutunen, called the incident shocking for Finnish football: " Factory Field is of great importance to the club and the community. Such behavior, without any care for the property of others, is unacceptable. Unfortunately, we live in a world where these things happen ."

He added that security camera footage made the situation clear immediately: “ I saw on the screen that the last stand was on fire. The construction of the main stand remains, but it will have to be demolished. Now the authorities and the insurance company will assess the situation. After the investigation is completed, the stand will be demolished .”

FC Haka, which over the years has faced teams such as Liverpool, Fulham and Glasgow Rangers in the European arena, now faces increased challenges as it seeks to rebuild its infrastructure.

Valkeakoski police have appealed to citizens not to speculate on social media about the causes of the fire. Investigator Maijastina Tamisto stated: “ The event has sparked numerous discussions and strong emotions in the community. We ask for calm and respect for the investigative process .”
