So much trouble for Bosko Balaban, former Croatian footballer, who also played in the Premier League. He is accused of not fulfilling his financial obligations to his ex-wife for raising three children, as he was sentenced to 1 year in prison.
It is learned that the former player of the Croatian national team did not pay around 80 thousand euros, so he will be behind bars for a year for failing to fulfill his responsibilities towards his children.
Balaban played in the Premier League in 2001, when he signed with Aston Villa from Dinamo Zagreb for a whopping 5.8 million euros.
Balaban married Iva Radic, a model who won Miss Croatia in 1995, and the two had three children in more than a decade of marriage. The couple divorced in 2017 and Balaban was given a two-year deadline to pay off debts that amounted to £70,000. Thus, it is reported that the 45-year-old was sentenced by the court in Zagreb to 1 year of imprisonment and another 4 years of probation.
Balaban scored 10 goals in the 35 games he played for the Croatian national team. He won a championship and a Belgian cup with Club Bryzh and three Croatian championships with Dinamo Zagreb.
