Established 2 years ago as the newest club competition, UEFA officially renames the Conference League

2 years ago, UEFA created a new competition for clubs and it is about the Conference League, whose official name is "UEFA Europa Conference League".

After two finals, where Roma first won in Tirana and then West Ham won in Prague, UEFA has decided to change the name of the competition. The name will have only one abbreviation and will basically be the same, since it will be called "UEFA Conference League", removing the word "Europe".

UEFA itself approved something like this yesterday at the meeting of the Executive Committee. After 2 seasons, UEFA are convinced that the Conference League has already established its image and does not need to have the name "Europa" to be recognized as a European tournament.
