The Parliamentary Anti-Mafia Commission will summon to a hearing journalist Sigfrido Ranucci, who was attacked on October 16 with an improvised explosive device that partially destroyed two cars parked outside his home in Pomezia.
"I immediately accepted," announced Chiara Colosimo, president of the parliamentary body, "the request to hear Ranucci in committee. I did not ask for this to happen quickly and I do not intend to do so. He will decide how and when he will come, knowing that the committee is waiting for him."
According to “ANSA”, on the investigative front, investigators are continuing to interview witnesses and analyze dozens of security camera footage taken in recent days. At the request of the DDA prosecutor, Carlo Villani, the Carabinieri of Frascati and Rome have interviewed many local residents in recent hours. The aim is to gather useful information about what happened in the hours before the explosion at 10:17 p.m., as well as details about the escape of the hooded man who was seen wandering along the street where the attack took place moments before the explosion.
"ANSA" writes that the range of hypotheses about the perpetrators of this serious threat remains wide. The attack is most likely linked to journalistic investigations broadcast in recent years by the Rai Tre program. The theory of an attack by local criminals, especially those active on the Roman coast, and by extreme ultras remains, as does the hypothesis of an initiative by Albanian groups, although there is currently no concrete evidence of a raid carried out in response to reports on migrant hotspots in Shëngjin and Gjadra, the Italian media say.
