Finland's Chief Prosecutor, Hans, has shared details from the joint anti-drug operation with our authorities, which has led to the crackdown on 4 criminal groups involved in international drug trafficking.
Hans said that one of the drug transport routes from the Netherlands to Finland was made by trucks, with Polish license plates and drivers.
"One of the routes from the Netherlands to Finland with trucks with Polish license plates and a Polish driver. It is very common, amphetamine has high consumption in Finland. Cannabis was trafficked from Spain towards Finland. Of the 55 citizens convicted in Finland, 10 of them are Albanian citizens, but we have Poles and Finns convicted among them," he said.
Prosecutor Shehu stated that Romanian, Asian, and African citizens were also involved in this cocaine trafficking network.
"A characteristic of these groups was their cooperation with each other for criminal purposes. Two of the groups organized trafficking from Albania to send from Spain to Finland and had a distribution network there ," said the prosecutor.
He also shows that another group operated only in Finland for the purchase and sale of narcotics. The other group aimed to traffic drugs from Spain to Finland through the postal service.
According to prosecutor Alfred Shehu, some were pursued in Finland and not identified in Albania.
