The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, has responded to the accusations from Rithemelimi, that after the attack of the lawyer, Sokol Mêngjesi, Prime Minister Edi Rama is hiding as the orderer.
In his reaction, Balla says that these statements are nothing but "a cauldron of poison for the public, with the aim of the political self-victimization of a major corrupt person", referring here to Sali Berisha.
Balla writes that for this incident, the Police has started investigations until its clarification, while also confirming the capture of one of the perpetrators.
"I read that the master of the window of justice has released the mouthpieces of his lies to attack the prime minister as the orderer of a criminal attack on one of his lawyers, Mr. Sokol Mêngjesi. The event that happened in the morning is being investigated by the State Police, which has already identified one of the three perpetrators and is working to identify the other two.
I also personally communicated with my lawyer colleagues as soon as I found out, and I thank them for their civic attitude in order to clarify the incident. I also communicated with the doctor who is taking care of the lawyer's health. Wishing a speedy recovery to Mr. Sokol Mêngjesi, I express my regret that in this case a cauldron of poison is thrown to the public from the 8th floor, with the aim of the political self-victimization of a major corrupt person", writes Balla.
