Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu has commented on Altin Ndoc's escape from Durres Hospital, describing it as a serious event and his escort was outside any security protocol.
In a Skype call for the 'Frontline' show on Report TV, he said that every hour that passes without Altin Ndoçi being arrested significantly decreases the chance of his capture, while emphasizing that the escape was well-organized.
Spahiu emphasized that Albania has a large number of prisoners, while emphasizing that in such conditions there should also be a hospital inside every prison.
" Altin Ndoci has just started work. Every hour that passes increases the prognosis that he will not be arrested, if he is not arrested within 24 or 36 hours the probability of his arrest decreases. It is clear that he did not escape in collaboration with the driver of that Audi who was waiting for him outside. It is an organized and financed escape. The way he was accompanied is outside any protocol. The police were also notified when his departure outside the controlled territory was ensured. We are dealing with a well-organized escape. The group that is discussed as being the sponsor had the money in their bags and in this context there was no question as to how much could have been paid.
The issue is alarming, Altin Ndoçi escaped and is highly dangerous, but others could have escaped as well. The state's reaction was ridiculous, saying that security forces had been increased in Durrës prison, as if they had made a plan in that prison for others to escape after Ndoçi. Yes, Albania has enough prisoners to have a hospital inside every prison. I think his escape occurred due to negligence by police officers ," he said.
